2010

Eric Glover started a new role as a campus recruiter at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. He’d love to work with current Marist students who are seeking internships. The agency’s largest program is the Summer Internship Program, which is open to all students as long as they're enrolled in a college program. Gina (Pernicano) and Rob Cristino welcomed a baby boy, Adam Joseph, in November 2021. 

2011

Kayla Cappiello is writing a cookbook, due out in 2023. Her recipes can be found at kaylacappiello.com. 

Jennifer Tam bought a home in 2021 and is in graduate school pursuing a nurse practitioner degree. 

2012

William Assante, MD, began a fellowship in kidney disease/nephrology at Westchester Medical Center in July 2022, designing point-of-care ultrasound curricula for residents and fellows. He is a member of the Westchester Medical Center Kidney Transplant Recipient Review Committee. 

Katie Meena was promoted to director of multiplatform content strategy for MTV Entertainment Group, a division of Paramount Global (formerly known as ViacomCBS), in May 2022. She drives the nonlinear content strategy for the MTV Entertainment Group portfolio across 30+ partners and platforms.  

James Niebler married Lisa Koehler on May 7, 2022, in Newport, RI. 

Kayla O'Donovan married Robbie Williams on Feb. 25, 2022, on Long Island, NY.       

2014

Rachel Bomgardner '14MA

Rachel Bomgardner, LMHC (’14MA), a Catholic Charities clinician, completed a rigorous training program in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to help individuals who are struggling with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). She was the first in her agency to receive the CPT provider status designation. She is a counselor at a Catholic Charities alcohol and drug treatment clinic in Monticello, NY. Rachel joined Catholic Charities in 2014 as a clinician in the Day Rehabilitation Program at the Monticello campus and became program coordinator of Day Rehabilitation in 2017. In June, Rachel was promoted to clinical director of outpatient services. A resident of Middletown, NY, Rachel earned a master’s in mental health counseling from Marist and an undergraduate degree in psychology, summa cum laude, from SUNY Oswego.

Carol Eliya is part of a team of Christians based in Kona, HI, who planned to move to Pisa, Italy, in 2022 to plant a new mission base with various schools, courses, and ministries. She says her Marist study abroad experience in Florence during spring semester 2013 deeply shaped this life choice and direction and she is excited to move back to Italy.  

Katie Foley ran in the New York City Half Marathon.   

Stephanie Levine (’17MA) earned a doctorate in school psychology from Loyola University of Chicago. 

 

2015

Lt. Laura Emanatian (’15MPA) recently retired from the Saratoga Springs (NY) Police Department after a 20-year career. She was one of five honorees to receive the Women of Influence Award in June 2022 sponsored by Saratoga TODAY newspaper.  For more, see www.saratogatodaynewspaper.com/publications/women-of-influence

Katherine Fiorillo is the editor of Michigan Alum, the magazine of the Alumni Association of the University of Michigan. Previously, she served in the Army as a field artillery officer for 4.5 years.

Lauren Garner married Jonathan Cohen on June 25, 2022.    

Chantal Lizzi married Matthew C. Gamson on Oct. 16, 2021, and bought a house in Monroe, CT, at the end of March 2022.     

Marissa Russo graduated in 2021 from NYU with an MA in educational theatre. In September 2021, she accepted a job with the New York City Department of Education, teaching theatre to students with disabilities. 

Blake Williams and his wife welcomed their first child in June 2021, a daughter, Freya.     
 

2016

Kevin Byrne (MPA) completed his final term in the New York State Assembly and was elected to serve as Putnam County (NY) Executive after running unopposed (www.byrne4putnam.com/news).

Jaime Engl (’22MS) married Reece Willoughby on Oct. 23, 2012.

Shannen O’Brien married Nathanial Discavage on Oct. 9, 2021. Gabrielle Hettie ’15 was a bridesmaid and Laura Wickham ’17 was in attendance.
 

2017

Zacharey Cerruti launched a nonprofit called the One Thread Foundation that works with a school in Ghana to help elevate the level of education it offers and to donate supplies to students in the government school system there. 

Thomas DePace was invited to be a guest speaker on networking and client engagement at the National Electrical Contractors Association national conference in Nashville, TN. In 2021, Thomas, along with his company, Advance Sound Co., completed two capital projects in the New York region: the Moynihan Train Hall audio system in Manhattan and various projects at the UBS Arena in Elmont, NY.

Randy Hammond was promoted to senior producer for Spectrum News 1 across upstate New York. He works on Your Morning on Spectrum News 1 in Albany and Your Weekend on Spectrum News 1 which airs statewide. 

Jennifer Rutkowski is in graduate school part time at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine, pursuing a master's degree in biomedical sciences. She works at Pfizer in the Viral Vaccines Department as a senior associate scientist. Jennifer also ran in the 50th New York City Marathon in November 2021.
 

2018

Anukriti Abbott (MSIS) entered a doctorate program in business administration with a specialization in information systems at Indiana Wesleyan University.

Ryan Cunningham works at Amazon with its brand innovation lab ad agency.

Monica Luisi has been writing and producing segments for the conservative news network Newsmax. She works on American Agenda hosted by Bob Sellers and absolutely loves it.
 

2019

Kristin Bitter (MA) retired from an 18-year career in marketing at the Coca-Cola Co in Atlanta, GA. She moved to St. Petersburg, FL, and is selling real estate.

Isabella Duenas-Lozada came back to Marist to serve as a resident director.

Anne Clare Gibbons–Brown, whose stage name is Anne Yeomans, starred in the two-character drama Flat Pack Furnished Flat, first at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland and then at the Pleasance Theatre in London. Anne received a BA in liberal studies with concentrations in film and TV, music, and communications from Marist’s School of Professional Programs. She recently graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with an MA in musical theatre performance and graduated this past summer from the UK’s Falmouth University with an MA in script- and screenwriting. As an actress, her US network TV guest-starring roles include The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Law & Order, and As the World Turns, among others. Her New York City stage credits include the lead female role in Heart and Lights at Radio City Music Hall. She comes from a “Marist family”: her mother and sister are Marist alumnae, and her father is a professor in the School of Management. Jacquelyn Kaiser obtained her certification as an integrative nutrition health coach from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in July 2021. After completing the year-long course, she created a website and blog to pursue a health coaching business.
