2010

Jessica (Wolsiefer) Asia became an LCSW in February 2021. In May 2021 she and her husband celebrated the birth of their second child, son Avi, and a few days later opened their first small business, a Latin American deli/store!

Kaitlyn (Smith) Lanthier (’14MA) kicked off 2020 with a career change. She joined Liberty Mutual as a senior consultant, content strategy for the internal communications team.

Anne (Shannon) Mesmer was named “Best Lawyer–One to Watch” in Boston by McCarter & English’s 2021 edition of The Best Lawyers in America. Those listed are chosen based on peer-reviewed surveys in which lawyers confidentially evaluate their professional peers based on more than three million detailed evaluations of lawyers in the same and related specialties. Annie was also renewed as president of the Boston chapter of the Marist Alumni Executive Board for a third term.

Carisse (Bormann) Mitchell was promoted to youth services coordinator of the West Babylon Public Library in July 2020 and got married to Patrick Mitchell in October 2020.

Alison Novak married Greg Richter on July 27, 2019. She moved to Collingswood, NJ, in April 2020 and published her most recent book The New Review Economy in fall 2020.

Gabriela (Landeo) and Kyle Reny welcomed their second daughter, Isabel, in May of 2020.  

Mallory Stanford (MPA) is a college professor at SUNY Jefferson in the Human Services department. She was featured on a podcast where she discusses trauma-informed living. Osamu Tanimoto continues his artistic activities professionally under the name Osamu Giovanni Micico. Recently he finished the commissioned sacred artworks "Martyrs in Xiwanzi," about the Chinese martyrs under persecution in 1946. After graduating from Marist Italy, he immersed himself in making artwork in a traditional manner. He has taught in the Sacred Art School in Florence and has been recording the online lessons that he learned and practiced as a professional painter.

2011

Alexandra Hodovanu started a new job on Nov. 16, 2020, as manager of, global branded supply chain at the Estée Lauder Companies Inc.

Danny Jagoda officiated. Their celebration will take place in 2021 due to COVID-19.

George Kyeremeh (MA) has been principal (president) of St. Ambrose College for the past eight years, helping young people who want to be teachers. St. Ambrose offers a four-year Bachelor of Education degree for teachers in the basic schools in Ghana.

Brittany Li and her husband welcomed a baby girl, Kaia Dallas, on April 3, 2021.

Caty Allan Morris had her first baby on June 19, 2020, named Sailor James Lokelani Morris. She was given a Hawaiian middle name after Cathy lived in Hawaii teaching special education for five years. The job offer came when Hawaiian principals came to Marist and interviewed her in Fontaine in May 2011. “Thank you, Marist, for the amazing opportunity!”

Corey Muirhead was named to City & State’s 2020 40 under 40 Rising Stars in New York City politics. Corey and Cassandra (Fernandez) Muirhead welcomed their son, Clark Miles, on Aug. 22, 2021.

2012

William Assante, MD, applied for a fellowship to specialize in nephrology at New York Medical College School of Medicine. He has had academic publications featured in the American Journal of Kidney Disease.

Michael Cullen is the videographer for the Lakeland Central School District in Shrub Oak, NY, and additionally works as a freelance videographer.

Katie Meena married Daniel Altuz, after 10+ years of being together, in summer 2020 and in the middle of a global pandemic. They had a small, intimate backyard wedding on Long Island surrounded by their closest family and friends. The couple is looking forward to their larger celebration with all their loved ones in 2021.

Aimee Pell got married on Oct. 3, 2020.

Lisa Pisani plans to co-present at the International Counseling Association conference in Kuching, Malaysia, on psychological interventions for patients and caregivers during palliative care, end of life, and grief.

Cameron Tidd returned to Marist upon faculty recommendation to teach Intro to Program in spring 2020. He helped mentor and compete at the first Hudson Valley Tech Fest youth-oriented Hackathon.

Tanay Ranadive is employed at the Department of Defense as an industrial hygienist.

Brian Gelok ’13’s son, Dylan, and Matt Lubrano ’11’s daughter, Cecelia Jane, had their first play date.

2013

Heather Malcolm was accepted to Capella University where she plans to earn a master’s in psychology with a concentration in applied behavioral analysis.

Josh Monica joined a group of friends on their ed-tech startup journey as SVP of sales and marketing. The company earned a $2.8 million seed investment from ed-tech pioneers Dave Duffield, co-founder of Peoplesoft and Workday, and Phil Wilmington, vice chairman of Workday.

Matthew Montemaro recently wrote and published his first children’s book, Chase The Cardinal. The book was inspired by his mother, who passed away from breast cancer when he was 13. The story concept originated from a poem he wrote at age 10 but didn’t finish. He recently stumbled upon the poem and decided to transform it into a children’s book. Chase The Cardinal is the story of a young boy discovering the magic of what can happen when you go after your dreams, regardless of the obstacles in your way. The book is available on Amazon.

Gina Sirico (’16MA) married Matt Rovelli on Nov. 10, 2019, with Marist alumni in attendance.

Katelyn Fornaro (MA) married Scott Vegliante ’14 on July 20, 2019.

Kelley Sullivan got engaged to Nicholas Bridenbaugh on May 30, 2021. The couple moved into their first home in Fairport, NY, in September 2021 and that month Kelley started a new job at start-up company Magnifi U, an immersive online learning platform for personal and professional development. 

2014

Morgan Faller has been fortunate to work in the energy industry since graduating in 2014. She has been able to work in daily operations for an outsourced risk management and consulting firm focusing on the retail and wholesale side of the industry, be an actual trader of renewable energy credits, and support regulatory initiatives for customers.

Jennifer Nelson and Tyler Hub got married on Nov. 7, 2020, in Bucks County, PA.

2015

Ashley Davis is happy to announce that the silver lining of the pandemic year 2020 brought the start of a dream job as a flight attendant with Delta Air Lines.

Courtney Lawlor is working on her master's in clinical mental health counseling at the College of William and Mary.

Christina Popowytsch and Conor Wiggins, both members of the Marist crew team, will be married on July 31, 2021, in the Our Lady Seat of Wisdom Chapel at Marist. They were supposed to be married during summer 2020 but postponed due to COVID-19.

2016

Kevin Byrne (MPA) announces the birth of his first child, Braeden, in May 2020. He also was re-elected to serve his third term in the New York State Assembly for New York’s 94th Assembly District.

Kerrianne Stewart was promoted to manager at Neo, a GroupM ad agency, in September 2019. She manages paid social media campaigns for Nestlé and works out of 3 WTC in New York City.

Emily Storck got engaged and received her master’s from Stony Brook University.

Peter Zayas (MPA) is a third-year PhD student in the Public and Urban Policy program at the New School.

Nick Titolo ’17 and Brianna Liguori ’17 became engaged on campus under the Marist Christmas Tree. A Christmas ornament that said “Will you marry me?” was hidden in the tree branches. She said yes. As students, Nick was executive vice president of the Student Government Association and Brianna was president of the Purple Thread organization.

2017

Manoor Arshad recollects that at one point when she was a sophomore at Marist (2015), she was nearly homeless with nowhere to go. But fortunately, graduating from Marist changed her life as she was able to secure a position at a finance firm in her senior year and has been there now for 4+ years. Marist was truly a blessing for her and she would love to share her story.

LaShuan Carmichael-Ramos (MA) announced the installation of African/American: Making the Nation's Table at the Africa Center in Harlem, NY, on Museum Mile.

John Kryspin and Kathryn Eldridge ’18 were married on Sept. 17, 2021. 

Brianna Liguori and Nick Titolo were engaged on campus at the Marist Christmas tree on Jan. 2, 2021. A Christmas ornament was hidden in the tree saying “Will you marry me?” She said yes. Also present were several other 2017 alumni including Brandon Heard, former SGA president. Brianna was 2017 president of the Purple Thread and Nick was 2017 EVP of the Student Government Association.

Victoria Randazzo graduated from law school. She is working at the Federal Communications Commission as an honors attorney. She thanks Marist for preparing her for law school and getting her to where she is today.

Jennifer Rutkowski was accepted into the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine Master of Biomedical Sciences program. She will graduate in spring 2022. Jennifer began working at Pfizer as a senior associate scientist in the viral vaccines department in Pearl River, NY.

Kara Sweeney got engaged in 2020.

Ange Uwimana started medical school at the University of Illinois College of Medicine.

Jacqueline Venuti and James Braun got engaged at Marist on Sept. 20, 2020. They will marry on June 4, 2022.

2018

Anukriti Abbott (MSIS) has taken the next step in her career and entered a doctorate program at Indiana Wesleyan University. The program is doctor of business administration with information systems as her specialization.

Marina Ballantine has served as the public information officer for Nuvance Health's Sharon Hospital in Connecticut during the COVID-19 pandemic. Beginning in 2019, she began more hands-on work with internal and external communications, community benefit programming, and developing a transition plan to onboard the hospital's new president.

Michelle Crawley started a new job as a software engineer at Microsoft.

Jacob Levinson started as a software engineer at JPMC this past spring and is loving every second of it. “Learning every day!”

Kulvinder Lotay was named to the Forbes 30 under 30 list.

Monica Luisi is writing and producing segments for American Agenda hosted by Heather Childers and Bob Sellers on conservative news network Newsmax. She absolutely loves it.

2019

Danielle DeFeo became employed full-time two months after graduation. She is a 7th and 8th-grade math teacher for the Enlarged City School District of Middletown at Twin Towers Middle School and pursuing her master’s degree in Marist’s hybrid program.

Sarah Galante started a new job as a 4th-grade teacher.

Anuya Sudhir Kamath (MS) has been working for Con Edison creating analytical dashboards for general managers, vice presidents, and regional managers of all boroughs of New York City.

Jordan Leventhal (MA) married Julie Steinbauer on Sept. 12, 2020, in a ceremony surrounded by their parents and sisters while family and friends joined virtually from around the world. A marketing project manager at Universal Orlando Resort, Jordan runs the production of marketing campaigns for a variety of resort projects.

Taryn McCleary moved down to North Carolina to be closer to her mom and stepdad after losing her previous job during the pandemic. She brought her boyfriend with her and they both found jobs and began working in their new state in February 2021. She misses New York but could not be happier and thankful she is now living the life she dreamed of while attending Marist. 

Jenna Woulfe began a new role as social media manager for the nation’s second-largest retail center and largest indoor theme park facility in the nation, American Dream
